We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in the Distribution, Supply Chain, and Logistics sector. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the seamless execution of logistics operations, from transportation and inventory management to supplier coordination and quality control. Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination
- Plan and manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated destinations.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock for demand fluctuations.
- Oversee storage conditions to ensure goods are preserved in optimal condition.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies and updating records.
Vendor and Supplier Management
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners.
- Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Assess supplier performance to ensure reliability and adherence to quality standards.
Shipping and Receiving
- Supervise the receiving, inspection, and documentation of inbound shipments.
- Prepare and manage documentation for outbound shipments, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and standards.
Transportation Management
- Oversee transportation logistics, including route planning and scheduling.
- Track shipments, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
- Ensure all transportation methods meet safety and regulatory standards.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze logistics data to assess performance and identify improvement areas.
- Generate reports on logistics operations, including cost analyses, delivery performance, and inventory levels.
- Utilize logistics software and tools to streamline and enhance operations.
Quality Control
- Ensure all logistics processes comply with quality and safety standards.
- Implement procedures to minimize damage or loss of goods.
- Investigate and address quality issues, introducing corrective measures as needed.
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to align logistics activities.
- Train and support logistics staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment.
- Serve as a key resource in ensuring smooth communication between departments.
Requirements
Experience and Education
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields.
- A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
