Job Description
Position Title: General Accountant
Experience: Minimum 4 to 5 years in accounting, with a focus on Finance & Accounting (F&A) operations integration.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or M.Com, with professional certifications such as ICMAI, CMA, or ACCA.
Position Overview: The General Accountant is integral to maintaining the financial stability of the organization. This role involves overseeing financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, a keen ability to analyze financial data, and strong organizational skills. As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for various accounting functions that are vital to the organization’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Accounting:
- Prepare and validate journal entries, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the General Ledger (GL).
- Oversee monthly closing processes, including the preparation of accrual entries.
- Reconcile and maintain the Trial Balance.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and manage daily cash flow.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings and collaborate on statutory audits.
Accounts Payable:
- Maintain comprehensive accounts payable records, ensuring accurate vendor reconciliation.
- Perform 3-way matching of vendor invoices before processing for payment.
- Monitor and update the accounts payable aging report, ensuring timely payments.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and withholding tax data for ZATCA compliance.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable:
- Maintain accurate customer billing records and monitor payment status.
- Reconcile customer balances and perform periodic account reviews.
- Review accounts receivable aging reports and coordinate follow-ups for outstanding payments.
- Record customer invoices for collection, ensuring their accuracy and completeness.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or M.Com, with ICMAI/CMA/ACCA certification.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of accounting experience with integrated F&A operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Excellent reconciliation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
